The Book of Squares (BOC)

The Book of Squares
The Book of Squares is the book within which the Planetary squares are drawn in order to invoke the forces. The Book itself is a gamahe; it is to be constructed of fine papers by the thaumaturgist. It should be duly blessed and fumigated. The first seven pages should contain empty Magic Squares for Sunday thru Saturday, and this pattern of seven should repeat throughout the entire book. The thaumaturgist should, after filling up the entire book with the empty squares, fill in each square with the appropriate Hebrew numbers/letters. This should be done on the hour and day of the force of the square. If it is done every day, the book will be filled quickly. This saves quite a bit of time during ritual, and results in a very personal and powerful Book of Squares.
If there is available access to a pre-printed Book of Squares, it should be fumigated and blessed each day of the week, starting on Sunday during the hour of the Sun and continuing each day during the hour of it's force for one week in order to consecrate and purify it. (I'm going to make one of these available on Lulu in the next couple of weeks).

Sala Malongo, Man, y'all. I find that I now spend the vaaaaast majority of my sorcerous/meditative time doing work for others. Which is awesome in many ways, as I've gotten very skilled at what I do. I've got no time for the experimentation, though. No time just fooling about. Sometimes I'm tempted to just say fuck it, and return to just doing things for myself....but I'm a priest, a Tata Nkisi. So I have duties beyond entertainment, and beyond my own development. Gotta balance this stage in the life as well. It's interesting, at the very least. I would have been overjoyed when I was a young aspiring wizard in my 20's to have this kind of problem, haha. Now I look back wistfully at the days when I could meditate for 4 hours straight--or at all-without scheduling a meeting with myself on Google Calendar. Many of the folks who are clients become good friends, some become students, others end up becoming sorcerer/priests themselves. And they are a bless...

The disastrous effect of Pornography on Theurgy

 Ave, First off.....I'm no Puritan. I'm a huge fan of sex and its healthy expression. I'm a 31 year old American fellow; I practically grew up on the interwebz, and that means plenty of nudity and porn. Especially during my relatively barbaric early twenties. Lots of men my age will tell you they never enjoyed porn, or rarely watched it when they were young. These men are filthy,  filthy liars. It didn't become so mainstream because it was watched so seldom. There may be the occasional gent who avoided partaking, but I give him no credit; that sort of avoidance, built on fear of discovery and hidden shame, is shameful in itself. Like with most things, better to dare, be burnt, and learn than to sit in front of the fire with a trembling cowardice in the face of overwhelming curiosity. Golden Dawn--WTF

Ave, I've been trying my level best to not talk about this latest eruption of foolishness, but good folks are being dragged through the mud (on both sides), and I've grown weary. This whole thing is a steaming pile of bullshit. No one is trying to "destroy" the Golden Dawn, that's just silliness. No one is trying to become the only "legitimate" Golden Dawn order either. I'm sickened by this display. Argue in a scholarly fashion! When did this sniping nonsense become the norm? A debate between honorable and wise gents (both of whom I consider Brothers in the Work) like Fraters AM and SR about the Sabbatian Qabbalah would be wonderful, if we could cut all the bullshit out.
